☀️ Summer Reads, Signed Books & RomantiConn!

Summer Reads, Signed Books & RomantiConn Vibes!

Hello, lovely readers!

Summer is here in full force—long days, iced drinks, sundresses, and (hopefully!) a stack of good books to escape into. Whether you're planning a dreamy getaway, lounging poolside, or soaking up a little A/C and peace at home, this season was made for reading.

If you're heading to RomantiConn this year, come say hi!
I’ll be signing books on Friday, July 25, and hanging out Saturday, July 26—chatting, fangirling, and soaking up all the bookish joy. It’s one of my favorite events of the year, and I’d love to meet you in person.

Can’t make it? I’ve got something special for you, too.

Every book you order through my website can be signed, personalized, and wrapped up in the kind of pretty packaging that makes it feel like a gift—because you deserve a little bookish joy, too. Check out this pretty wrapping!

June Book Spotlight

Forever and Always

He was my first love, my first heartbreak, and the last man I expected to see sitting in a booth at my aunt’s diner. Now, it seems, the boy who owned my past is the man who wants my future.

I pulled her closer, my heart beating furiously inside my chest, recognizing its other half, and loud enough I was certain I heard its rhythm echoing against the barn walls. Even in the dim light of the barn, I could see flecks of amber and gold in her eyes. I splayed my hand against the flat of her back and drew her against me.

“Yeah, I apologized. But like I said, goals change. I lost six years with you. We could’ve been married by now; had a couple kids. I should’ve been standing by your side during the saddest moments of your life; holding your hand, supporting you, being the shoulder you leaned on, cried on. We can’t get those years back, but I’ll be damned if I’ll lose any more time living my life without you.”

Her sweet lips parted. Maybe she was going to tell me she, too, regretted the years we lost. More than likely, she was going to argue with me, but I was done talking. Instead, I captured those lips with mine. The kiss was sweet and chaste at first. The gentle touch of my mouth to her velvet lips.

She tasted of sugar and honey. Of memories. And promises made and broken. She trembled, and I could barely control myself. I nipped her plump bottom lip and gave it a gentle tug and released it with a soft pop before plundering her mouth, stroking her tongue, her teeth. I wanted to curl up inside her and live there forever. And when her tongue stroked mine, and I knew she returned my kiss, I deepened it, even though my legs no longer felt as if they would hold me up.

Her arms cinched around my waist, while my hands caressed her neck. I cupped her face, my thumbs stroking her jaw.

This was heaven, and I’d been living in purgatory for far too long

My friends call me Sister Callie. I'm the good girl. The responsible one who never took a risk and always did what was expected of me.

But that was before Jayden Reed stood before me, shirtless, jeans unbuttoned, and a sinful smile that promised to do wicked, wicked things to me.

I want him. I want to be reckless. I want one wild night. Consequences be damned, it’s time to be a bad, bad girl. Except I never imagined the consequences would come with a side of murder.

"The love of books is a love which requires neither justification, apology, nor defense." —.A. Langford

Happy June, my friends! Not much is happening around here this week, but I do have two stories to share. First, my son surprised me with the coolest gift. He ordered an apron from William Sonoma, hand-drew Baby Yoda in Illustrator, and then embroidered the design himself. Let me repeat that: he drew it and then embroidered it. I can barely sew on a button, so I'm beyond impressed. How adorable is this? I absolutely love it, and it may be my new favorite kitchen accessory. My second story...

Flowers

Hello friends! Spring has finally arrived. The cherry trees are in bloom, flowers are popping up everywhere, and dandelions have officially taken over the yard. Best of all—I’m no longer freezing. 😊 Lately, I’ve been working on a couple of projects, including something completely new for me: fantasy. I’ve always loved reading fantasy and paranormal—they’re my favorites—and this particular story has been living in my head for years. I finally started writing it. I’ll admit, writing fantasy...

Courage, Dear Heart book cover

Meet an author edition! Hello friends! I want to introduce you to an author I think you'll love. Do you like romance with a touch of danger? I have a treat for you. Meet Breanna Lynn. I'll let her introduce herself: Hi, I’m Breanna Lynn, the girl with her nose in a book growing up who ended up an author. I write steamy contemporary romance and romantic suspense and every book has its own playlist—because music is what feelings sound like. When not trying to get words on the page, I’m either...
